It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

UPDATE: I've decided that I'll hold off on posting any pages right now, but if it looks like I'm not making much progress in the coming weeks, I'll post something to tide y'all over. C: Thanks again!

Since I can't actually make a poll, I suppose a journal entry will work in lieu of one. DX

So, I'm about halfway done with the next page, and the plan was to finally introduce the avatar in it. However, ignoring the fact that school is eating up most of my time right now, I'm also taking a short break on this page to work on some other art (to try some new things). Now, I've got two choices: I can continue what I'm doing and post the page when it's done, or I can move some stuff around and post what I have now.

If I wait, I'm worried that it may not only be quite a long time until I finish, but also that there may be something of a style change partway through the page. It wouldn't be as big of a change as what happened between pages 14 and 15, but it might be noticeable if it's on a single page. The upside is that the next page would definitely have the avatar. If I post it now . . . well, it'd be posted, but the avatar wouldn't be in it.

So, what are your thoughts? I'll give this a few days (probably until Saturday night) and then update this with the decision. Thanks, guys! :3

B-but I've already decided to hold off for now . . . XD;; I'm probably gonna give it a few weeks to see if I can get some more done. Since there's not much going on in the first page, I'd prefer that they be released as close together as possible. :3 I was mainly testing if there was a definitive "yes, release it now" or "no, release it whenever," but I mostly received a "whatever is convenient for you." XD

But I promise that I'll at least have something in the coming weeks! Thanks and stay tuned! :>
